Everyday habits that support wellbeing

Wellbeing at Reach Her is part of ordinary life rather than a separate appointment. For many of the women we work with, feeling settled in herself shapes how much of the week she can take on.
Sessions cover mental, emotional and physical health together. Sometimes that means talking things through with people who understand. Sometimes it means gentle movement, rest, or practical tools for self-care. Over time she starts to recognise what helps her settle, and what to reach for when a week becomes too much.
Our wellbeing sessions cover:
- Support for your mental, emotional and physical health.
- Practical tools for self-care you can use at home
- Time with other women who understand what you are managing

Our 6-week programme
Good Food · Good Health · Brighter Futures

The six-week programme brings healthy cooking, nutrition and wellbeing together in one group that stays the same from start to finish. You meet once a week, cook and eat together, and finish by planning what comes next.
Week by week:
- 1. Introduction — Meet the team, get to know each other and set your goals.
- 2. Cooking on a Budget — Simple, healthy and affordable meals.
- 3. Cultural Recipes — Celebrate our diverse food traditions.
- 4. Nutrition Education — Food groups, label reading, portion sizes and the Eatwell Guide.
- 5. Mental Wellbeing & Self-Care — Practical tools for a healthier, happier you.
- 6. Celebration — Share your progress, enjoy a meal together and plan for the future.
The impact we make

Healthy Women, Stronger Communities
Taking part regularly supports physical health, but it also changes how the rest of the week goes. Women who eat and rest well tend to find the other parts of a programme easier to stay with.
Over time she builds a clearer sense of what she needs, and of how meeting those needs lets her take part more fully in everything else on offer.
